Free Online Oscillator — A 10× Wave Synth With Custom Drawn Waveforms

Tone Forge is a free online oscillator and tone generator that runs entirely in your browser. It stacks ten independent oscillators, all tuned to the root note C, and gives each one its own switch, waveform, gain, stereo pan, start time in beats, length in seconds, attack and release. Choose a sine, triangle, sawtooth or square wave, or draw your own single-cycle waveform by hand and the synth turns it into a periodic wave. A ping-pong switch loops the whole arrangement forwards and then mirrored in reverse. Each wave gets simple built-in effects — a room, hall or plate reverb and a subtle, wide or deep chorus — and the whole stack runs through a master chain forked from the songtools.music Signal Dashboard: an 8-band parametric EQ with a draggable response curve, a dynamics compressor and a brickwall limiter. Watch every wave on a draggable timeline, then export the result as a 24-bit WAV, a lossless FLAC or a 320 kbps MP3. Nothing is uploaded; all synthesis and processing happens locally on your device. Every wave is tuned to the root C. Offset a wave by a few semitones to build a chord out of the stack — +4 and +7 give you a major triad.

Switch this on and all ten waves take this one shape, squeezed to fit each wave's own length. It overrides the per-wave attack and release — which are kept, and come straight back when you switch it off.

Drag across the pad to draw one cycle of the wave. The shape is turned into a real periodic wave, so it plays clean at every pitch.

Timing

sec
Start is in beats at the current tempo; length, attack and release are in seconds. Length runs from start to finish, so the attack and release live inside it. You can also drag the bar on the timeline — grab its right edge to stretch it. Ping-pong in the transport plays the whole arrangement forwards, then mirrored back to the start.

Effects

Fixed, no-fuss effects — pick one and move on. Reverb is shared, so waves sent to the same room sit in the same space.

Switch the screen to EQ and drag a dot on the curve — left/right is frequency, up/down is gain. Scroll over a dot to change its Q. Double-click a dot to switch that band off.

A fast peak limiter that catches whatever the compressor lets through, so nothing crosses the ceiling. −1 dB is a safe target for streaming.
